- Playing with Alodine
A lot
of builders have cut up the wooden box that brings the spars and
longerons as storage in their workshop; however I didn't have room
for storage lol. However next door managed to reuse them as
tomato planters in their greenhouse...brilliant.

Anyway on with the building. I still have not
finished all the wing access nut plates on one of the spars; so I
quickly did that and then Callum (my son) helped with Alodining
with Alocrom 1200 all the countersunk holes on all the spars.
It was during this process that I noticed that the holes newly
countersunk turned an iridescent gold similar to the spars whilst
ones that have been done a few days ago went a burnt gold. I
decided that this as down to dirt and resolved next time to clean
or Allocrom soon after the countersinking phase.

Calling it a day for today and will proceed next
with putting nut plates on the web part of the spars as per the
instructions.
